On grid solar power system is a solar power generating system that is connected to the utility, also named grid-tied PV power system. The system is mainly made up of PV array (solar panels), inverter, combiner box and so on. The DC current from the PV array is converted into AC current by the inverter, then is transmitted to the power grid and supply power to the loads. The excess power beyond consumption by loads will be feed-in the utility grid.
Unlike the off-grid systems, the on-grid system usually not include battery bank, as the battery life span is too short.
